Apparently amarrian suits trade one slot and speed for an additional amount of armor.
I would like to suggest that this armor amount be boosted and this is the reason why.
Amarrian suits sacrifice 1 slot for on average 30 more HP.
This is not a balanced tradeoff.
I do understand that CCP's design goal is to make Amarrians the armor tank-y race, just like in eve. Unfortunately by removing this slot for a paltry 30 HP you ensure that amarrian suits of the same level cannot compete with any other race's maximum HP values.
If the design goal was indeed to hard-wire an armor plate into amarrian dropsuits to make them all tank-y, then this situation should be remedied.
Currently amarrian suits are ~5% slower than the other suits, this would roughly reflect the movement penalty of the Enhanced Armor Plates, a module that gives 87 HP. I am merely suggesting to increase the base armor HP on amarrian suits by 87 HP versus their contemporaries if these suits are to remain 5% slower.
TLDR; amarrian sacrifice a slot and ~5% speed for 30 HP, when all other races can use that one slot, and sacrifice 5% speed in order to get 87 HP. |

CCP never seems to think about slot balance for Dust 514. I wish they would take the same sort of approach as they do in EVE. In EVE, all three types of slots (not including rig slots, of course) are about equal value (though different layouts are better for different things, as it should be), and most ships in the same class have an equal number of slots. Even if you hate EVE, you have to admit that certain balancing procedures could effectively be applied to Dust. |

Amarrians are the buffer tankers of EVE and I would like it to be so in Dust also.
As Amarr I wouldn't mind the extra hp :D |

I would agree with this if the movement penalty was decreased to 3%.
I just don't understand the logic CCP used with this. Either give the suit the proper amount of HP from one loss slot, or give me the slot back so I can do that. The way things are now it is like they purposely gimped amarrian suits for no good reason.

Amarr assault also sprint 5 seconds longer than all other assault suits, and have the greatest stamina recovery rate. This helps dodge snipers. Also use the sprint to fall back to another piece of cover when enemies try to advance, then set up a charge shot or fire the laserbeam at them. Our assault bonus improves our weapons tremendously, adding both character and crazy laser skills. Given level V amarr assault, a basic laser is about the equal to proto lasers on heat build up, but with less feedback damage and lower fitting requirements. Its all about the weapon synergy, man. |

I don't think we need more armor but less of a movement penalty |

If the armor bonus is increased I demand that the Amarr suits have their style bonus removed.
