A good gun fit comes with skills (proficiency, sharpshooter, etc...). Kitten Damage Mods, they take away from your tank.

Exactly. I mean, if you're going to be focusing on supporting your squad, why are you fitting a weapon above Standard in the first place, since I'm guessing you are.
Reduce the meta level of your weapons, and you'll have more than enough fitting for defense after you put on your equipment. |

If you are being a real logi, you don't need a great weapon. A good Logi should always stay behind the frontlines. You shouldn't need more then a standard SMG and flux grenade.
You should stop crying to be an assault and logi. You either choose one or the other. It is fair. It is Dust.

I think that comment was a little out there. I think, as another poster said before me, that people overlook passive skills too often. A STD AR with maxed proficiency can do more damage than a Duvolle AR with no proficiency. With a standard weapon you are far from defenseless. |

I've been trying to see if I can make it work with a heavy, with assaults you're either getting in their way or they have run away from you already.
So far, i'm finding a logi and a heavy is far less effective than a heavy and a logissault. Even a core focused can't outheal core locus spam.
When you've got equal amounts of relatively high skill and dps potential, it comes down to how many guns vs how many guns. If you are playing logi with a low meta gun you are just gimping your team. |

Gallente Logi gives fitting bonuses to equipment, and the Amarr Logi features a sidearm slot and recently got buffed for 4 lows, 3 highs. |
