im not the best sniper but pretty decent im using an NT-511 Sniper rifle im wondering if i should skill into the proficiency.. Any advice?? |

If I was a sniper, I'd skill up to Standard Tactical SRs, use a dropsuit with a butt load of high slots, and stack that mother with complex damage mods. |

Wait until sniping is fixed, as far as now there's bad bad rendering, only player tags are visible over distance or they appear invisible completely. its not good at all, they really messed it up. |

I keep seeing this, maybe I am just lucky but I don't have this problem. I use the nt-511 and have got kills where I see the guy at 500m clearly |

It was before all the range rendering and damage changes, right now it's a joke unless you head shotting with a Thales or charge.
Before you think you see a lot of sniper kills, Try use one in a PC match versus proto tryhards, ******* joke. |

yeh, 2 complex dmg mods give a nice boost though. 3rd makes you question if it's worth giving up a little tank, 4th is just silly |

Well i have my prof. at lvl 3 just to able to use Thale... originaly i'm Charge user (still have them 9900+ in assets, don't need to buy them for like 2 years XD )but now most of time i use militia sr bp. There is no possibility to quick scope & that sway reduction does't help you at all if you will only camp-sniping. But after some training you can do pretty quick headshot after running to position (ground-sniping-hunting).
Most ***** stuff ever you can use... can be realy scary in good hands.

Once you have your core role at a decent level it's totally worth grabbing proficiency in sniping. If nobody else is shooting annoying snipers or forge gunners you can switch to sniping for a bit. As an added bonus you'll get to experience annoying blueberries that think you're doing it wrong. |

Because skilling into a weapon means you now have to run it for an entire match. 
My primary role is logistics but I almost always start a match as a scout and will switch to AV and sniping fits as necessary. I'll also switch back to scout to break out if red lined.

Yeah, it's a great counter to mass drivers, especially if there are a bunch of them holding an objective. |
