I don't have as much time to play as I'd like, and certainly not enough time to adequately follow the meta, so what is the state of tanking/weapons atm?
I know that shield used to be superior to armor in nearly all cases, ARs were op, then it was flaylock pistols? Now it seems like mass drivers are the fotm? Are murder taxis still a thing?
Thanks for any info you guys have. I actually will have a good bit of time to start playing again, and I have a pretty good amount of sp to spend, and I'd like to put it where it'll matter. Don't worry, all my core things are trained well, and I'm actually skilled into armor and ARs, but I thought it may be a good time to put some sp into logi suits or shield or lasers or w/e.

Murder taxies still around. Mass driver not OP, just a few tryhards crying cause they got killed by it. |

ARs are still, and from the looks of it will continue to be OP. Mass driver is not OP, just alot of people are using it and not many people are smart enough to engage it in an area outside of its effective range. By that I mean when you get a smooth couple seconds to dodge each round coming at you while taking shots at the guy, or simply standing above the mass driver user. Murder taxis are still a thing, but some people are getting bored with them.
Tanks are still useless against anyone that specs beyond basic AV, and they can be soloed by a guy with adv. or proto AV grenades.
Some people getting intelligent and using flux, lasers, and tactics to destroy shield tanked infantry. Be amazed, now that people figured it out some fellas are crying to nerf flux. |

What about as far as tanking goes and what dropsuit? How are those things shaking out in the current meta? |

I believe people are still signing the praises of the shield tanker (it hasn't been nerfed yet so...).
At least I shield tank and get about 485 shields plus 192 armor.
I don't know anything about armor but I hear arguments for it from time to time.

The whole mass driver only op if your not aware of your surroundings and distance. What make me op with it is the commando suit with the assault scambler rifle as primary and mass diver as back up. Knock out shield then follow up with md woke every time. And don't forget I'm one of the few in this suit so chance of opponent knowing I have 2 light weapon is slim. |
