I know by looking at the star map that their isnt alot of place corps can fight over. Alot of bigger corps are in control and thats rather sucky for us smaller corps, if we wanted to get into PC.
I wonder if we could get a area were only small corps battle for territory. Not much to come out of the territories as of isk or clone production etc. But were we can cut our teeth in that part of the dust universe.
I really like the idea of taking a territory for my corp, but the larger corps would proto the crap out of us since were small and have mostly newberries. I understand the concept of growing the corp and then taking on other corps for territories but the grind is hard for people that don't play for hours on end, or have the AUR to use for blueprints.
Its just a Idea and any input would be greatfully recieved |

Alliances are a small-ish corp's best friend. Dead Six isn't huge-- just active, and in company with friends. We don't have huge ... tracts of land, but we do have some. |

Well I agree with that Alliances are a small-ish corp's best friend but the better question would be how the hell to you form an alliance in Dust?
I'm saying most go for territory for the isk, correct? What about Small places that are restricted to the smaller corps to help build up to the larger battles that are currently going on? Like i said before just and idea |

You need an EVE player to do that currently (Not sure of the specific details about making one). |

This is a good idea, since there are only a few planets to fight over, there should be moons with requirements for corps of 100 or less players can participate in or 2 million or less total WP accrual for the entire corp. I think it would keep the new guys interested in Dust 514, and help bring balance to an otherwise "old boys club". The moons or planets designated for mid or small sized corps could produce less clones but still be worth fighting for. The rich , large corps have their own playground for players of equal skill and experience but the newer guys get to experience PC and make some cash without getting smashed by the massive corps with billions of isk in resources. |

I agree with you that would be awesome if we the small corps would be able to do that and not distrube the mega corps. What fi the moons the smaller corps were fighting for were limited even furhter by how many ppl were in the corp or by war points... The lower the war point requirement the lower the output of the territories. So it would make the lower corps want to keep moving forward and grow. |

That's how it is in EVE. New Eden isn't a fair place. If you aren't powerful you stick to high sec, if you are ballsy you have low sec holdings, and if you willing yo stick everything on the line, your ISK, you rep, your power, and your enjoyment of the game you go Low Sec.
None of this Carebear crap for dust either.
Either your corp steps up to EoN level or you don't compete.
PIE fights tooth and nail for all the territory we have in low sec FW zones, were out numbered more oft than not, yet fleet puts its rep out there to defend the line.
((Sorry but that's how this game is meant to be. I don't want anyone lowering the bar or making it seem like us Consolers can't hack it.)) |

That's a little over-simplistic (there's all kinds of ways to live/operate/fight in lowsec and nullsec without trying to "own" the space, while in Dust where you own it or ya don't), but more or less true. It would be against the spirit of the game for there to be a separate PC zone where some corps would be excluded. However, that does not mean that the game designers aren't going to look at the state of PC and make adjustments; they've already done so. They may add completely new features that entirely change the dynamics. Also, like in Eve, there's a bit of a patronage as alliances try to cultivate new member corps, so go try to make some friends.
Furthermore, the payout system, both for corp battles and selling clones, is just a placeholder that will be completely reworked when the economies get linked, and Dust starts generating the promised "stuff" that Eve players will care about. They payouts for owning a district and the costs of attacking one will ultimately be tied to market prices instead of fixed payouts. |

I understand its harsh all the way around. And hard for just about everyone. Thats not my point. Its a matter of keeping ppl playing and interested at this point I feel... Hard for us to get outta public games when it cost 30mill plus to fight for territory. Then just to get proto stomped... I think its a good idea to be able to keep players playing after kinda figuring out the game from the academy.
I think they should try it out and see how it works out for us smaller corps. cause the perpose is to keep all players ingauged and interested not frustrated at a free game that no one really likes playing after a month or so... |

It might be a hassle to do every time a battle arises, but It would gives smaller corps something to do besides get Pubstomped, or fight Corps with Massive Funding to Take a district, only for the game to become a job.
Just have the option to set up a contract appear on the notifications of Attacks/ When setting up attacks |

I like that idea as well... just something that we can brake into rather then getting pubstomped... I think also that these two ideas alow the small corps. to make money also a little bit quicker then grinding out for 30mill to get hosed anyways. I love Dust and EVE. The core of it allows you to do virtually what every you want. Why can't it be set up this way now for Corps with and advancement tree for conquering territories?
a moon that requires more wp to start a battle earns the corp greater rewards and so one scalling up to the ones that are currently held by the big corps? I don't think this goes against the core. Just gives options for smaller corps to cut their teeth at this.
Contracts. To be honest how they would be set up in dust to dust corps? That would be a good idea as well... small battles that larger corps could contract smaller corps for. |

I don't think we give small corps their own space but we do need to look at lowing the bar of entry into the mix:
