I hate protosuits. They're all a bunch of pussies.
Every other game I play there are all manner of protosuits playing it far too safe. Hiding and sneaking around to preserve their precious ISK. Sometimes I see them playing it so safe that they don't manage more than a couple kills in the entire match. It feels so stupid running in and tanking damage while the guy with 500+ shields hides behind me.
Don't start telling me that you have to protect such a valuable investment to the fight. If you can afford to at least put a few suits on the line then you either shouldn't be using proto gear until you have sufficient funds or the cost of your suit is too ludicrous to use in the first place. Stop hiding in that box, put that huge tank to work helping us attack. But no, you'd rather watch all of the standard suits in front of you die while you scramble away without a scratch.
And to everyone who think that Proto users are overpowered, please stop. They really aren't, all they take is a dedicated effort to kill and they more than deserve the amount of power they bought. Besides, they're probably more afraid of you.
Oh and I'd say the same thing goes for tanks. Yeah pretty much replace the word protosuits with Tanks.

Exception is proper Proto-scout Sniper builds. But if you're going to be invisible in the redline you better be pumping out a ton of kills. |

The, playing it safe with your proto-suit mentality just supports my "never waste a protosuit on a pub match theory. The isk we make in pubs does not justify the use of a proto suit. Running advanced gear you can make a nice profit and still do very well in the battle (all without fearing that the loss of two suits will put you in the red). If you are wealthy enough, or just not a spend thrift like myself, there is absolutely not to run in with your proto suit guns ablazing. Pub stomp to your hearts content you little R$chy R$ch merc. |

Grab an LAV and push your proto team mates into the mob of raspberries. Also, stand in front of your own teams red-line snipers with a Heavy suit. They both don't do the team any good. In eve we have a saying "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose". If you do call out your best fits you shouldn't play any differently then you normally do to protect your assets instead, consider it already spent the second its spawned in. |
