But yeah, the way CCP decided to implement this is terrible and almost touches the level of nonsense of a 400 warpoint domination only Battle Academy. I want to believe someone at CCP is trolling us.

I haven't seen such an entitled bunch of gamers since the Mass Effect 3 ending outcry. If you are not going to play due to CCP giving you an incentive to player, then stop playing all together, that will send a stronger message then AFKing.
