Update: There is fix planned for this, the idea is that there will be a cap on total rewards that can be earned per match.
So would this mean that sitting in the MCC on the Oceania server would be considered cheating? And if there was a planned fix for this in September of 2012 why haven't they come up with a fix? I like that they anounced a "planned fix" and yet its still happening.
I really should have saved this and posted a year after CCP Cmdr Wang posted the original. Guess Ill have to come up with something else for Cmdr Wang's "Happy Fail-anniversary". |

That was from when you could get unlimited SP from repairing so one guy in a tank would continually crash into a wall and let others rep him for massive SP piles. They put caps on SP per action. Which is what your quote refers to most likely. |

Yes they did it without risk as they were behind the red line with the repper getting +25 wp every couple of second. |

I get it, but he also said free SP was cheating... we're not talking passive here. OPs question was is AFKing cheating, answer appears to be yes. |

BECAUSE
It involves gaining ISK & SP with no risk to the player.
So does this then mean we should be submitting "Help" Tickets on the main https://dust514.com/user/help-tickets/ website with the names of people who are cheating by AFKing in the MCC? |

According to that post those were the generalized terms during the E3 Beta. If you would read the quote again you would see a very specific point where they place caps on the SP earned per action.
Being AFK does not violate the caps per action in nearly any way... I believe you only get 300 SP for a flopper?( I assume this from the matches I sometimes get shoved into with less than 30 seconds left, which effectively prevents me from doing anything.)
I'm not saying you're wrong, only that you're pointing with an incredibly target oriented post about something that it was never intended to reference or they would have worded it differently. |

This was talking about the farming with rep tools. AFK farming wasn't done until the chromosome build. |
