A militia HMG with typical militia-level nerfs would indeed be too powerful. I imagine a ~15% damage Nerf (from standard) and a ~250 clip would be a good place to start. Perhaps less range, too. Hard to know without the ability to plug things in...

If only I had been told this earlier...I've been doing it wrong this whole time! I use my DAU to great AV effect, and I frequently use basic shield extenders. But yes, proto shield extenders are the only ones that don't completely suck.
