This works. If you are in a squad and hard freeze just get your squad leader to disband the squad. You need to join a game in progess, join a squad and leave it. Then you will be good!

When it comes to AURUM stuff I ahve seen you can use one level lower or levels lower. I have the SMG level one but I use the AURUM level 4. Hope this helps! I dont think its a bug. Its by design.
