While in the Fitting Menu, hovering over a weapon with rigs will show the rigs attached on the outside of the fitting. This lets you quickly see what, if any, rigs are assosciated with the current fitting and weapon. Selecting a weapon capable of being customized will give you the option to "Rig" it. This switches you to the rigging selection wheel, where you can select which rigs to attach to the weapon.

Calibration
Each weapon has a number of calibration points. Each rig takes up a certain number of these. Certain rigs can attach to certain weapons. Rigs have three tech levels, Standard, Advanced and Prototype. Weapons can equip rigs of their tech level and lower, but cannot attach rigs of a higher tech level. More potent attachments use up more calibration. Some rigs can attach to multiple weapon systems.

Standard Rigging
Standard weapons have pretty standard modifications. They have three attachment slots and 100 calibration points. Standard rigs use 25-50 calibration points each.

Advanced Rigging
Advanced weapons utilize more intensive modifications and are more based on specializing in one particular thing. Their attachments are more intensive and potent and generally focus on the weapon's key role. They have two attachment slots and 200 calibration points. Advanced rigs use 50-150 calibration points each.

Prototype Rigging
Prototype weapons use a variety of interesting modifications that alter the weapon in multiple ways. Their attachments are moderately intensive, but are relatively potent. They have four attachment slots and 300 calibration points. Prototype rigs use a variable amount of calibration points.]]>
