Everyday, if you are disconnected during a battle because of downtime, the server doesn't register anything about your stats and the suits you lost. So don't be scared to run officer and have fun! I don't see enough player doing that and that's a shame.

Yea my last officer hour was pretty mediocre as well. I got popped 3 times by an assault forge gunner camping. What really made me mad was the whole time I was getting camped by a forge gunner a friend of mine managed to go 27-1 in the roughly 6 minutes of battle we had.

Back to the point, It does not matter how you die as long as the server shuts off before the match ends. I generally hit search on domination exactly 14 minutes before downtime as this will give you the most time in battle to have fun while giving only a small chance of the match ending.

I would highly recommend you test this with a few proto weapons one day before taking our word for it other wise you will not actually enjoy the wreckless fun that goes along with spamming officer gear knowing you will not lose it.
