There is a game for PS3 I used to play.

It had weapons with ranges suited to the maps, instead of 30-60m range weapons with half mile long expanses. It had cloaking. It had scout drones that flew around shooting things in the sky. It had long-range revive tools. It had personal support drones that attacked enemies near you. It had sentry guns you could place with infinite ammo and missiles. You could fly jetpacks and ride mechs. You could disguise yourself as one of the enemy, and tear them apart before they realized you weren't on their radar. You had 360 degree scanners that didn't need to constantly be pulled out and activated every five seconds. There was a mode where your objectives switched constantly, from planting and defending bombs to capturing areas.

It was called Killzone 3.

All kidding aside, it's sad that Killzone 3 has more advanced technology than this game has ever had. Scouts can't cloak, no one can place turrets, drones don't exist, all the vehicles are antique modern-day vehicles, etcetera. Don't get me wrong, Killzone 3 has its own myriad of problems. In that game, I think the weapons have too LONG a range; a machine pistol can kill a guy halfway across the map in a few bursts. It's just funny comparing them.

Was just about to post something like this. Drones can serve a variety of purposes, most of what you already listed.

Oh...My...God. My Gallente Logi...I WOULD BE ALL OVER DRONES. THE IDEAS ARE LITERALLY SPEWING OUT OF MY EARS. SOMEONE GET A BUCKET.

Seriously though, I would love drones. Maybe a Drone-Specific suit that specializes in deployable drones (obviously my precious Gallente master race would have an affinity for this). And Triage Drones, Ammo Drones, Equipment Defense Drones, And Defense Drones.

admittedly it does look kinda neat, but why the **** do we have drones from dust in a thing NO ONE goes to but we've got none in the actual game?

well drones on home do nothing but stand near you, dust drones would have to do more i assume.

I starting to think this game is getting developed in geologic time.

IF we ever had personal drones, I would just want mine equipped with an active scanner, no guns. The tradeoff would be that it would fly at a fast speed doing nothing but recon for my squad.
