The use of tanks don't mesh well with infantry, tanks can't maneuver well with infantry and staying near them usually gets the tank killed. The infantry next to tanks stick next to tanks and limits and sometimes halts team movement.Staying next to infantry also means exposing your self to av's and flux grenades.Turrets are mostly empty and tanks lose a lot of dps, this mostly shows not a lot of interest to ride on tank.when tanks hp gets low, they have to retreat or else die, which leaves infantry without tank support.
There is a clear problem with mobility, tank life span, lack of compatibility between infantry and tanks, and motivation on supporting tanks. As it stands these will be the main factors between the arguments between infantry and tanks. |

most people don't know how to support tanks and that's the biggest lose of tanks next to bad driving/gearing of the tank. |

If the enemy has time to use AV, your infantry suck. As long as your infantry force the enemy to fight them, your tank will never die. Also, everyone knows AV is OP ATM. |

I have jumped out of a tank and killed the AV going after it many times. If you have infantry close by that is their job. Along with hacking objectives and clearing any threats to the side and rear. When the infantry is hacking the objective keeping the hacker safe until the hack is done is the tank's responsibility.
The fact that this almost never happens correctly is just gaming with Randoms. If you want Your Squad to operate differently that is between you and your squad/corp.
Tanks can drive over infantry or push them along so I don't understand the OP's view regarding movement. When I drive I ignore the infantry in my way. They get moved or they move or they jump on the tank. |

Meh, Tanks are paper, that's the first problem The second is it sounds like you're playing with either awful squadmates or just playing with randoms hoping for the best.
When Tanking in a Squad, you choose between which is going to be the support, Are you the support? Will you move in behind your infantry and take shots at the enemy from afar? Usually the safer option, or are you going to be the Assault, letting your infantry stay behind you? Both roles can be utilised in a good Squad, pushing as the Assault Tank early in the game and then holding back as Support to aid your Squad.
Blue dots are unimportant when it comes to a Tank and its squad, you need a good squad (Oh look, HAVs and Teamwork, shutup nerfmugs.)
Movement is a non factor as it's all down to the Tank Driver itself, if you can't move with your squad, that's your fault (Or you're a Mouse and Keyboard user, then you're a mug.), push to analog stick gently to go at a movement speed that's on par with Infantry, practice that as your squad runs infront of you, pay attention to where you're going and don't push them into ****, that's a fast way to lose anyone that wants to fight with your tank.
Infantry jumping in and out of a Tank is a good idea but I prefer having them flanking me, atleast one on each side so they know if theres any infantry and can call them out. |

Old topic but as i think actual for now too
LINK
So the problem is that infantry do not support tanks.
Snipers must kill all other snipers and after it kill swarm launchers, forge gunners and so on.
Assacult and othermust do same, thinking that tank is tank have a lot of armor is mistake, In Dust tank is a bucket of nails, meaning tank is nothing without support, but with support is great machine which will support and defend you!!! |

My post is just feedback on how i see tanks and squads, it has nothing to do with whether i had a good squad or not, which i don't have a bad squad. This is my experience that i gained from using tanks and while keeping in mind how infantry mostly think.i am not a bad tanker, so it's rude that you assume so.please refrain from making those comments. |

You say this is how it is. Well, that must be because that is how your experience has been. What else are we to think?
Don't bother next time. Saves everybody some typing. |

Saves everybody some typing. How am i not being clear? All i am doing is giving feedback on some of my experience with tanks and squad game play and then people just assume that my feedback is based on poor game play. This is just how my feedback is, your expectations are too high.I'm not doing this to watch everyone else type,i'm doing this to help the beta. Not submitting feedback would be worse when i know i can.
Moving on, if someone else has their own opinion on this topic, feel free to submit it here.If you wish to feedback on the same topic, then do so as well. |

To have some bonus for support tanks will be helpful for both sides, for example to be near the tank +5 WP per second.
Now we have Command from Squad leader: capture, defense, run to ....
So I suppose that all squad member will be near the tank if they have some bonus.
Here we can decide it as to add role as support vehicles( beside it they can kill somebody to have bonus and so on) ?
I wish it's good idea for future to split all sides. So if not some one up there can try : Hey, there CCP |
