Quit nerfing Edited(Come on CCP, harsh negative criticism gets me an edit? and it wasn't even "kitten"?). When we have ever weapon, every skill, and every feature, start balancing; until then, people should HTFU and deal with it. Tanks were not OP, AV weapons were not UP; people are just to damn lazy to turn their mics on and squad up, why punish people that are properly using the tools you provide them?
Edit: Also, because of the obvious "Oh your tanks is no goodz nowz?" response, I think it's important to note that I have yet to spawn a tank this build. Thats right, I haven't even tried the militia ones. |

Yes, because the Remote Explosives, one hit kill Swarms from 2 builds ago, the militia Heavy suits with 1100 HP, and all that fun stuff wasn't OP. |

So your answer to tanks is to simply make people need 4 guys per tank to take them out...
So, thats 4 players completely useless to the team. And the enemy has 2 other tanks killing you while you do this: to conceivably take out those 3 tanks, you need everyone on the team specced in AV and that means they are useless when the other team forgets the tanks and goes after objectives.
Soooo... How is that better? To tank users, yeah. 2 AV should be able to take out a tank, if they are smart about it, and don't needlessly expose themselves. I will reserve my opinion as to if that has been reached or overdone when I get home tonight. |

Sounds like someone is mad their lololololololsolopwngodmodemobile isn't a solopwngodmodemobile anymore. Speaking as someone who runs an online game, and works closely with the content devs, they generally know what they are doing with new content and how it will affect the already implemented content.
They don't just decide "I'll make X item that fits on Z suit" without considering how it will interact with Y item that also fits on Z suit, so on and so forth. With new content, they will usually be able to get something pretty close to how it should be when they create it if they're thinking about the larger picture (they usually are). Then it will get some closed testing, possible tweaks, open testing, more tweaks if needed, etc.
I'm not saying content developers are perfect, but they're certainly not nincompoops who have no idea how future content will impact the mechanics of current gameplay. |

Scalesdini, I've spawned less than 10 tanks since E3. In fact, I haven't spawned any tanks in Precursor. The fact of the matter is that they weren't OP - the only times my team has been ROFLstomped by enemy tanks, it was STB and my team refused to use AV gear. Honestly, do you think a bunch of dumb asses with assault rifles should be able to take out 3 or 4 tanks? |

Um, yes, yes they were OP. When four people are spamming proto swarms at a Gunnlogi simultaneously and only manage to knock the shield down to -maybe- half (being generous), they are OP (don't even get me started on the nigh invincible Sagaris). When people that only manage to go 5-8 on foot go 29-0 in their solopwnmobile despite half their enemies switching to AV gear, yes, they are OP.
I haven't logged in to test this new patch, so it is possible they went too far the other way, I can't say one way or the other personally without trying it myself. However, the boards look like a giant whinefest from tankers who can't god mode anymore, and that's all. Your posts, and most of the others, appear to be extreme exaggeration and filled with delicious tanker tears.
And if they did go too far on adjusting tanks, they will promptly adjust again, just as they did in correcting their previous tweaks to AV weapons. So calm down and wait a while, just like people who didn't sit in god mod machines did while waiting for this patch. I am confident CCP will not leave a prominent gameplay mechanic broken forever, if it is indeed broken at all. |

How is it "nerfing" when the game is still under closed testing? This is a [beta] fools. It's called tweeking till they do find that right balance. More then half of these changes will not be the same as they are now come the new build and massive update (again) set to happen this month. I mean the problem with any game that has vehicles and infantry alike on the same battlefield is finding the balance that fits the game in question. Sometimes that means breaking a few eggs. Everytime they add more to the game it means going back through every other line of code to ensure proper implmentation of the item(s) in question, and to ensure it is balanced, working and without incident. Do not act all butt hurt over the HAV's being toned down the time being. The problem is they were being abused under these closed conditions, multiplied by the small player verse player numbers, and limited map area. Especially when paired with the fact that infantry are ill equiped and do not have everything we should have to properly take out a single HAV muchless a superior HAV. Not too mention that in previous builds I remember tank operators complaining about the forge gun. Just keep playing and let CCP find that sweet spot for everything.
Complaining like this may only do more damage then good. The swarm launcher did need a proper buff and it got that. The tanks will probably see more tweeks though between now and the next build with more tweeking though afterwards to ensure it functions properly within the confines of it's defined role. |
