1. I use the Triage class in this game. Healing other players in FPS's games like MAG and Brink are what I do best. However, I have no idea how to use the med kits to heal anybody. I hold L2 to access my inventory, I select the Milita Nanite Injector, and I don't know what to do with it. I can't seem to figure out how to use it on myself or any injured players with it. I don't know if I'm trying to heal people who just have damaged shields, or if they actually are hurt but I might be using it at the wrong position or time. Can anyone explain how the Nanite Injector is used?
2. In the pre-match war room, I once saw someone wearing the same armor that I'm wearing, but his was white instead of the olive green armor that I have. How do I change my armor color?
3. I purchased the Prototype Assault vk.0 armor in the shop (using ISK). How do I use it? I know I probably have to change over to the Assault class to use it since it's Assault armor, but even then I can't figure out how I equip it.
Thanks in advance. |

The Nanite Injector can only resuscitate downed members. You need a Repair Kit in order to heal other players, and the repair modules can only repair armor, not shields.
The suit you saw that person wearing was either an AURUM variant (it costs real life money) or else it was a special beta suit with a different color pattern. Either way, the only way you can change your suit color at the moment is to get a different suit.
In order to use a prototype assault suit, you need to have the required prerequisite skills. Your skills can be accessed by, in your Merc Quarters, pressing Start, Going to Character, and then going to skills. The required skill for prototype assault suits is Caldari Dropsuit Level 5. It costs a lot of skill points, so I'm afraid you wasted some money buying the vk.0 that you didn't.
Look through the skill area of your character for a little while and it should help you understand how Dust operates in terms of classes and whatnot.
I hope it helps! :D |

1: The Nanite Injector (NI) is purely for reviving, it doesn't work like you're used to from MAG. To use the NI, equip it and run over to the guy you wanna rez, then just spam the R1 button while you move back and forth over his body and close to it. You have to hit the exact spot where he died, not where he landed.
2: Buy an AUR dropsuit.
3: You need to level the Assault Dropsuit skill to level 5... good luck, it's 4 million skill points in total! It's a massive grind... What you wanna do instead is level the Assault Dropsuit skill to level two, and use the Type-II Assault Dropsuit. It' awesome, it'll work well as a main dropsuit module. |

Best advice for you is to make a few classes, very similar, but switch your equipment choices. I.e. hives & repair too, hives & injector, repair tool & injector. See what you get the most use from. |

1. Nanite Injector is for reviving dead soldiers. You need repair tool for healing and that only works on armor. 2. As you upgrade you dropsuit skill you can select different variations of the dropsuit that come in different colors. 3. In order to use prototype weapons you need to upgrade your weaponry and assault rifle operations skills.
hope i helped. |

1:Can't help much there, but there should be a little icon there showing them bleeding out when there down, don't really know, never played as a triage.
2:That is a skinweaver version, its pretty much the same as militia, but was rewarded to players earlier in the beta for a few events.
3:Counting how new you are,you are wayyyyy to under leveled, you have to spend skill points on "Caldari assault suit" to unlock the proper usage of it,and even then it takes a while to get it,look at your skill points and see what you have first.
My advice is stick with milita gear at first and test the waters around, after you get your right feel buy the proper gear "You" can use,and upgrade the skills to support them.
To get new skills, buy skill books at the market, you only need one and its permanent, then spend "SP" on those skills to get better at them.
You have a small tutorial in your game around options and a link to it here.

You will get the hang of it eventually.

For healing in this game to start out grab a militia repair tool and equip it, for your skills go under character then skills and work on them there, purchase skill books for ones you don't have, but make sure its one you want/need or you will be throwing away isk |

If you're going triage class, you'll probably want to look at the Logistics dropsuits over Assaults. Not that you cant be a good logi guy in an assault suit, but logi suits are more specific to what you're training for. SP gains are much better once you can res, drop nanohives for resupplying, and and drop an uplink all with the same suit. |

Every piece of equipment requires certain skill(s) to use, which you obtain by using Skill Points, earned in battle along with ISK. If you press triangle on any piece of equipment in the market you can see ('prerequisite' tab) the specific skills required in order to use it.
Also be aware that militia equipment can be bought and used repeatedly with one purchase for each item, but non-militia equipment (ie. bought from the rest of the market place) is single-use only, so that Prototype suit you bought, once you wear it and are killed in action, is gone. Time to buy more. Welcome to New Eden.
My advice would be to earn some money and then go to the militia store and buy up one each of the modules and weapons and probably suits, depending on what role you want to try. From this you can use and combine the modules as often as you like and try out different (and multiple) fittings. I'm running four different scout fittings right now, three logis and a couple of others, all mostly built with militia equipment plus some unique extras added, suited for different play-styles.
Also be aware that equipment can be used by any suit as long as it has the slots (and the CPU and PG requirements) to use it, so you can use an assault suit but still repair, or heal, or drop hives for example.
The vanilla fittings (the Triage for example) are not the best you can get, even in militia, so get some ISK, buy up some militia equipment then start on some of the skills and experiment and watch what other people are doing here and in-game. GL!
