Many people would use different suits in pubs, PC and FW and 30 fittings is not a enough So here is my partial solution
In the character selection screen you still can go left and right to pick different characters but you also can go up and down and select different groups of 30 fittings
, So when I want to play FW I would login and select the group of fittings suitable for FW and if I change to pubs I would log out and log back in and select a group of fittings suitable for pubs.
This would be great if they implement tiercide, You could a set of 30 lower tier suits for lower tier matches. |

I have at minimum 1 point in each specialist suit. I use this to test how good they operate with maxed cores.
My entire fitting window is pretty much occupied by STD dropsuit fittings.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

Your doing something wrong with your fitting if you need to use that many fittings. You are also wasting isk on stuff. Do you even use all of them? I only have like 7 fitting and I don't have to make any more. I just need to slightly tweak them to fit the match. Here are mine-
Galassault with PC and smg (main assault/av/sniper)
Heavy with hmg Heavy with forge
Scout with rifle
Medic logi Logi with links/hives/scanner Commando with 2 rifles/one av
I don't need any more than this. I don't see why you need to fill all your fittings up. Look through them and delet what you don't use.

Like fitting folders?
Great idea, has been brought up before.
We really should have full customization of things like that.

You may not need more but then that is all that you do on the battlefield. And you give others handicap. Your choice.

Agreed. 30 is not enough.
There are so many suit-weapon-purpose-cost combinations which are sensible to have that you guys can't believe. Yes, I've always gotten full fitting list. Yes, I use them all (although some specialists very rarely like a noncombatant escape linker)
Because I haven't got room, I have never even tried to use most of the officer guns let alone even try to fit an officer suit. No slots.
On the other hand, I get hatemail for using proto all the time. Well d'oh, don't have room for budget fits even though I'd love to.
One can say that having and using many fits is all about living by the all so popular Eve/Dust advice: ADAPT OR DIE. Having tools for situations and counters is that exact adapting.
Note that I've made the case before, and CCP Rattati told that he is "aware of the issue".
example of many posts asking for more slots/folders/anything

It is hard to believe there would be any real obstacles for adding more slots.
The fitting data itself should be a simple list comparable to an exported text document (like Eve evefit format).
If for some reason the game has to calculate all those fits and keep them in memory during match (so impractical, unlikely) THEN the idea of having active fits and saved fits would rectify that.
For example, in merc quarters you could tag fits as 'active' that you would want to use today (and bring in the match). Even better, having folders full of fits or a 'fitting set' which you'd tag as active.

If you have 3 assaults, 3 heavy, 2 commando, 2 logi and 1 scout and you dont want proto fit only you cant not fill it, maybe split PC fits from pub/FW ones is enough

I have 12+ fits for Amarr assault alone. Then around 18 left for 4 other suits.
30 is not enough. To people who say they never fill 30 slots. You're doing it wrong then. More fits = you're more adaptable. Different fits for different situations/needs.
