The beta is shaping up really nice, big update last week and another on the way. The quality of play is pretty good with some very good back and forth battles when the fate of a base capture lies in the balance when all three empires hold one point each, some battles rage for hours. Mathersons Triumph is always a great fight.

Organization depends upon who you squad with and varies as many players are going in there thinking they are playing COD, or thinking they are going to run crazy kill streaks, "like some other games", that **** don't work in that game. Dust does require a limited amount of teamwork to win, but the scale of teamwork needed to be successful in PS2 is astronomical in comparison, when battles go static with large numbers "98-100+" players on each side of established skirmish lines it takes a really good plan to breach and cap a point to get the ball rolling, very exciting.

Friendly fire is always on and you can pick out experienced players from dumbasses by the way they cover lanes of fire, shooting friendlies in the back by accident or creating crossfire zones, nuff said.

Tutorials are sketchy right now, kinda like Dust, but the next updates should clear that up.

All in all for a beta it is in far better shape than most other beta's I have played, and better than many finished games currently out there and has a great future ahead of it.

Actually, I think the full game becomes available only after buying it, the two current "expansions", the "1.5" disc later this year and then the two expansions later this year. You are plying a massive scale combined arms game so the only way you're going to make an impact on your own is by playing infi and going behind enemy lines and holding people up by starting to take a base and then hiding somewhere in the base. You can have people running around in circles as you overload generators or take objectives and then run to the next. You can also solo blow up enemy sunderers which massively fks up an enemy advance sometimes or you can run in a squad of say 8 infis and cause havok. You can also be a pilot and make an impact on your own once you can fly well. There is loads you can do. We used to be able to take any base pretty much but they had to introduce the lattice system because people were more concerned with ghost capping bases randomly than fighting (typical example of how players are so obssessed with farming than actually playing the fking game).
