just wanted to say thanks for a year of awesome game time. i know you guys get a ton of crap from people about your game, but i truly enjoy this game and look forward to getting on it every day. People will probably give me crap for saying i enjoy the game, but i don't care.
I've never played a game for as long I've played this one. I've never been immersed in a gaming community as i am now. i check the forums and reddit daily for all sorts of information and just generic postings about whatever. i also want to thank players who have spent their valuable time creating videos or post on strategies, general topics, bugs or how to videos. Ive learned a lot from these people.
So amidst all the endless crap you guys get, here's a lone thank you for not only giving us a game i enjoy, but also the community you have given us. i look forward to future patches and more content.

Sure there's things that need to be worked on but what we have now is still entertaining and CCP has clearly shown they are dedicated to growing Dust more and more and more, at least that's the impression I get from them.

I quite like the game, but I don't get to play it very much. spending most of my time in eve makes it almost impossible to hit my cap every week :( |

The game could be so much better, and that frustrates the **** out of me, but I still really enjoy playing it and have done for well over a year now.

+1 for the well written post, but I personally have given up on Dust... and 1.8 does not look to be making it any better.

+1, I too genuinely enjoy this game despite all its flaws. CCP is trying very hard to create a truly unique MMOFPS experience, and while it hasn't lived up to grand expectations, I still find myself sitting down, playing Dust, then looking up surprised to find that four hours has slid by like nothing. For a game that requires zero financial investment, that's pretty damned impressive. |

I agree that this game, its community, and all the rest are really enjoyable. I never played many FPSs before Dust (never played an MMOFPS at all), but I feel like Dust has prepared me fantastically for any others that I will certainly play in the future.
@low genius--I started CRNWLLC a couple weeks after I started playing EVE, but didn't really get into it because of the learning curve and lack of fun stuff to play with. I came back to Dust a few months ago and with 6+ months of passive SP was able to actually get into it. Now, I play Dust to the detriment of EVE--I'm afk all the time!
I really should go run some incursions...

thanks for showing CCP some love guys. i know there are a lot of us out there that love to play this game, but i kinda got sick of all the negative post and wanted to post something with some positive vibes.
its been a fun year for me on this one little game. before dust i played halo, Cod, BF and Mag, but those where all short lived. i just couldn't get into them. i had pretty much written off all FPS games. A buddy of mined introduced me to dust back when it was still in closed beta and i honestly thought it looked terrible, but as soon as it went into open beta, my buddy convinced me to give it a shot.
A year later and i have more SP, kills and time invested into dust then him. he rarely plays now and I'm still buying booster packs. i deleted almost all the games i had on my ps3, except skyrim. i even updated my hard drive to a SSD just so i could get into the game a little bit faster then the rest.
so yeah, i kinda like this game

I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy Dust.
However, sometimes, it makes me wish I've never downloaded it because of hit detection, annoying bugs, and OP combat rifles. |

I enjoy my time in Dust and it doesn't cost me a monthly fee. I can spend a tiny amount of money on passive and active boosters, or forego them entirely and still have fun. Patches are, for the most part, positive experiences (except 1.7's vehicle/AV "balancing" Serious CCP, what were you thinking?). So yeah, thanks CCP.

Agreed.
The Playerbase and CCP is like a Parent - Child relationship.
Sure, we hate them, but at the same we also love them. Especially once those Patch Notes drops :3
