Just wondering if there has been anyone else that has received this message and is unable to sign in to Dust, "Downloaded data files corrupt. Please try again later.", the game attempts to synchronise with the server and then after it reaches 2% it fails, and repeats this process, failing each time at 2%. After 3 or so attempts to synchronise have failed, the aforementioned error message pops up and you may press X to start the whole thing again in one giant perpetual loop of nada.
I have done a delete and reinstall of the launcher and still this does not work, I found another thread that says getting another PS3 to sign in with your account should fix this, and was hoping to get some confirmation from anyone that this is indeed the only fix that has been found at this point in time. I've email CCP, but after perusing through the forums for about an hour or so, it seems that the trend is unless it's a major issue that affects a lot of players, CCP has more pressing matters to deal with, and I will probably be ignored.
Any help from people that have experienced similar issues and have found fixes would be greatly appreciated. |

I have not, thank you my good sir. I did not know you could even do this sort of thing on a PS3, I shall try this, and report my results. |

Sadly this did not help. I tried both restoring the file system and the other option that the video showed, but to no avail. I even tried what the thread I found said about this to do, which is to get someone else to sign in under your PSN account on their system, and it also did not help my predicament.
I'm at a loss. |

Restoring file system - Ps3
YouTube post
If your Ps3 is hooked up using an HDMI cable, use the original video cable that came with the unit. because using safe mode knocks off the HDMI setup & reverts the unit to use the original A/V cables.
If the problem persists, even on your other games then it looks like your PS3 Hard Drive is about to fail.
Good luck |

I've had it happen to me and all I did was re-download Dust. It happened like 3 times I believe? It solved my problems.

My other games are working perfectly fine, no data corruption so I don't think the PS3 is about to give out just yet.
zDemon, I've also done that and it didn't help. But I will try that again. Fingers crossed. |

It happened to me, and i couldnt play for about a month an a half.
This is everything i did, eventually worked but couldnt pinpoint the true solution: GÖª I deleted the ''Saved Data File'' of Dust 514 GÖª I deleted DUST514 GÖª I re-installed Dust514 GÖª Defragged my PS3 (you can find the process in youtube) GÖª Then, the day it worked, i figured maybe it had something to do with my ISP, so , after i did those first 4 steps , i CONNECTED THE PS3 TO THE INTERNET THROUGH MY CELL PHONE's. GÖª After , i attempted to synchronize Again and it did work. After it reached 100% and got to the Character selection screen, i quit the game. GÖª I reconnected the Regular internet to my PS3. GÖª Got in, and had no further trouble.
HOPE it helps.

Go to the Save Data Utility, Press TRIANGLE on it.Then click DELETE. The problem with me was that the first 4 options didnt work (i do believe they helped) ,in the end it WAS an ISP issue so i had to SYNCHRONIZE using a different internet source, after is synchronized any internet will do.

Pressing triangle brings up the side bar menu and all I get to see is information, not delete. That's the issue I'm having, with that step. |
