I should word this a bit better. And I disagree, rails are quite good at CQC but sometimes it seems strafing + lag is a crazily potent against it.
Slowly dropping my KD/R.

Unfortunate that most folks don't believe that the Rail fits that category. I've been saying it for a while I and still here folks calling for the nerf hammer.

I've had similar results. This is compounded when you have to let off the trigger or start getting low on ammo...that's when the .25sec spool up time bites you in the a$$.

It's the worst in CQC, without a doubt.
It's still too strong in CQC for a Long range weapon.
It may not be able to take on more than 1 target in CQC, but you will still shred that one guy point blank.
Also note, I am a scout. It only takes a few shots. Not sure how this works for assaults.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

The OP is right. You can be easily outstrafed in CQC when using the Rail Rifle...
And yeah, it really gets compounded by lag...

Im told its harder for people to out strafe you shots if you turn your Aim assist off. The AA magnitisum starts draging your cross hairs one way then when they quickly go the Otherway a few time your AA cant keep up and will actualy work aginst you.
Not really tested it myself since I usualy try to stay out of CQC unless fit with my shotgun. |
