again it has to spool up each shot. All other rails behave differently. I am liking this gun but seems so slow. |

not necessarily the rest auto fire because their automatic and their would be no way to go from charge to shooting without letting triger go

Also i enjoy the ability to hold a charge as it helps me to annihilate cocky protobears think its ok to stand still while im charging my BFG

The Forge gun is more compact, as thus takes longer to charge to reach the required gigajoules to fire. The installations and vehicle-mounted small rails have larger capacitors to draw from.
The forge gun has always been -10% to shields +10% to armor, but was known as the "anti-shield" AV option because it was only penalized 10% for hitting shields, whereas Swarms are penalized twice that at 20%.

yes it is but it isnt intended for the same use.
