Why should a heavy affected by the armor plate stacking penalty? I say remove it entirely from heavy frames or reduce it drastically. Just picture this........ you got a dude weighing in at 130lbs(scout) and a body builder(heavy) stack 50lb weights on their shoulders(plates) and see who can move faster with more stacked on them.
Scouts higher penalty to plates would force the scout class to be you know fast and light using mobility to their advantage,
Medium frames - medium movement penalty when stacking plates
heavies - no penalty when stacking plate and just come out with the racial variants already please |

heavies - no penalty when putting on or stacking plates i mean cmon your a heavy! But the only benefit of being one is so that you can hold a hmg?

Heavies need love, this might not be the holy grail, but its a start. |

I never really thought about it, but this definitely makes sense. They are hella slow already, why bog them down more with armour penalties? I think CCP are trying to say that heavies have so much armour already that they shouldn't be equipping armour modules at all.
If they implement the cloak fitting bonus for scouts it goes without saying that heavies need an armour plating bonus/penalty-reduction.
Come on CCP, don't just base your decisions on forum QQ'ing, use some logic please. Thanks in advance.

I wholeheartedly agree. Theor suit is designed around heavy plating and should have greater tolerance. I also still promote the idea of 4% damage reduction per level to the suit, to further underline their role as a brick.
I dont even heavy, but I love diversity. Right now, facing a heavy feels like facing a medium with slightly more HP, but not enough to make a difference. And no, Im not facing Commandos.
They need to be a force to be reckpned with. Give them love! |

we all know CCP hates heavies. i wouldnt expect any love from them to help a heavy at all. They clearly want to make the role of a heavy to be someone that walks slow and dies easy dealing little to no damage between spawns.

I would stay away from the 4% damage reduction for the time being. They are buffing the HMG a bit in the quickfix (that was moved from today to tomorrow last I heard), so that might be some heavy love. |

1. Our body types don't change with our dropsuit. 2. Since it's in percentages, Light Dropsuits are already more affected than Heavy Dropsuits.
What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?
The pile of garbage looks nicer.

This is one point i have never had much understanding on. I have seen people post lore saying heavies have 2 spines and such but this does not add up to me since with the same character i can go into any suit i like weather its a heavy or scout or whatever. To me what makes sense is that the clones are all pretty generic type of a thing average build average height and such pretty much homogenize. The dropsuits are what are customized to roles like heavy medium and light. a heavy suit should be able to move without being impeded by armor considering they are supposed to be heavily armored. |

This would work now, but when we get the rest of the racial heavies in 2020 can you imagine the QQ when a Caldari heavy with say 900shields and 300 armour moves at the exact same speed as a Gallente heavy with say 300 shields and 1200 armour. People would moan that their is no downside to armour tanking heavies and the Gallente heavy would be a beast the extra HP of armour, reps from rep tools and hives plus no speed penalty.

I've noticed its harder to run away while being shot now......on top of what you said this is what I propose
Scouts get heavily affected by this movement penalty Assaults are a little better than scouts Logi barely affected Heavy unaffected by the weapon impact movement penalty

So your saying scouts should be able to stack plates to have 500+ armor and still be able to move fast? |

And your clones the same size....So does that mean when they get into a tank they should only be able to move at the speed of their suit? The vehicle/suit was built around the role it was supposed to fulfill which would make the heavy suit more armor friendly Terrible bash to my analogy that doesn't make sense, if I get in a car I go as fast as the car would go my body doesn't really affect it If I wear a suit of armor then put weights on it I'm moving slower Ur
