really need somewhere I can, practice flying and shooting with friends in battles, tht don't use up fits ive bought or destroy the vehicles Ive fit. Minimize it to a maximum of 6 or 4 ppl in a match and give us say 2 or 4 maps to choose from, make cloning vats in these maps indestructible or just use random spawn points, be nice to have a break away from earning sp and isk and muck about with friends for fun and generally test things. |

I believe a suggestion in Vegas was to be able to visit your owned district. Don't know if that is still planned but not much good to the smaller corps

Ehh, having a battleground that is devoted to testing your fits and vehicles isn't very lore friendly. Maybe some sort of match that is a "simulated" battleground so you couldn't lose ISK, but at the same time you couldn't earn SP or ISK.

I think it's a great idea.
Maybe a corp could rent training spaces for X- amount of ISK. Assets lost in training would of course be lost permanently as well.

Dust really needs some sort of training area. I am trying to talk a friend into playing and this dude is horrible at FPS, so he is interested in DSs. He has little ISK since he is new to the game so he buys some militia ones and we go into a battle, he calls it in and the RDV is destroyed before the DS hits the ground. He calls in a second one, it is destroyed before he can read the help stuff to learn the controls. He calls in a third one' he takes off' runs into a building then gets blown up by the same dude who brought down the previous two. After this fiasco he says "F@%# this, I'll play BF4 or MW Ghosts, at least they have Campaign mode so I can have fun while playing". Now I am trying to talk this guy off the ledge so he agrees to give it one more try. We drop into a battle and guess what? The Raspberries have Tankageddon with like 4 tanks. After that match, dude is pissed at me for "f@%#ing" with him because I know he sucks at FPS and he thinks I did it on purpose and he is so Anti-Dust now I may never be able to convince him to play again. This is just one dude he hates Dust and prefers rival games after just 2 battles. Imagine how many new players are quitting because they cannot learn how to play the game. I saw a video on Youtube that shows how to set up a training type battle IF you own a District. (very good video by the way) My corp is real small and cannot get and hold a district so that option is out. And how are we expected to get into FW and Planetary Conquest if we can not learn how to operate as a cohesive unit. IMO, as insignificant as it is, Dust could benefit greatly from some sort of training site. It will help in retention of new people, and allow more corps to get involved in the Planetary Conquest beside the 10 or so that currently own everything. |

in the end the best use would be have the old loading screen for going into a battle as a option other then the mercs quarters.
have it for corp/alliance use option from battle finder. it loads all into the war barge and from the main table hologram you can choose the map you wish. 4 maps.. all scaled down ambush/domination maps. 2 outdoor maps for vehicle training 2 mixed for small squad tactics training. this way you can train as a squad or as a whole team with...
tank warfare.. have chance to develop tactics for fighting with and against tanks as squads drop ship warefare.. same as with tanks LAV.. no real tactics... but hey racing around and placing bets would be a hoot.. hell even let the spectators take pot shots and lay random remote explosives would make for a fun time
and for infantry would be nice to be able to set up mock engagements
allow for squad based tactics.. breaching rooms with grenades and then clearing them covering fire and moving with cover fire setting ambushes and general actual combat techniques.. death boxes, ambushing and counter ambushing sniping and counter sniping logi training and getting squads used to using logi in effective way
suit and equipment wise id have it set for 5 or so starter fits
logi - pens hives scaners and reppers scout - scanners hacking tools anti vehicle ( swarms and FG ) special suit that has both anti vehicle weapons sniper rifle and nanohives assault have all 4 racial guns (rails AR scrambler and CR)
make the suits cost like 2500 isk each (or even less.. cheap and disposable suits), they can be destroyed but when in training mode they do not... repeat DO NOT count towards peoples K/D
and you could also set up ranges on the fields.. just like in the real world
line of booths with up to 500 yard ranges have targets at many different ranges that actual show the damage being done and how effective that damage is at each booth there is a quick weapon swap.. click a button gives options for side arms, light and heavy side arm and light weapons are militia version that can be swapped easily heavy weapons are nanoforged onto the booth as a turret
for the new players they can then see how well weapons work at the various ranges. giving them a way to figure out what weapons they will want to train for based on the game play style they like
we all need to understand that sooner or later we will have to play this game like eve.. tactics and counters.. squad and team based communications. no the lone wolfs will never be pushed aside. much of low sec combat in eve is solo or small gang roams. comms tactics and understanding of the weapons and equipment is the deciding factor.. not just who can spend the most isk.
dust is a good game.. just need more time to flesh out the remainder of the equipment for all races, get the balance right and some time in training so people can get used to working with others. |

i have friends tht have walked out on dust, others who refuse to play the game. Training ground sounds good, definately need tht i think we need missions to do and small corps need, away of stealing resources from larger corps, example a corp could have a certain ammount of resources, say 5% left in a storage container tht other corps could attempt to steal, the match would be against rats, the rats would only be as good as the, larger corps wallet and once u have sucessfully stolen the contents of the container, you have to wait a fair while for it to respawn. it would also be good if hacking an objective did soething visual like made a cannon spin round and start shooting the mcc.

I think "ALL" PS3 or 4 games should have an off-line training mode. Remember when Hackers took down PSN? We could have been off-line training but most games don't let us do that
So yes I would be very for this idea. Will they do it thoe... |

i dont know, but anything is possible in the gaming world so hopefully it will, even just a weapons testing room would be good, they could put it just outside your merc quaters, it would have a targeting range, and something to check, shield and armour resiliance visually this could be some sort of electric pulse tht damages your shields and armour, with the same force each time, alowwing u to see which shields work best, these electric pulses could be, altered to simulate the different weapon or ammo types, just something cool to add to the game. Infact this could be something on a space station where players could meet.
once i had this idea tht a mission could be to steal a ship, from a ship maurfacturing place You would start off, on the ground with your corp mates and accompanied by a pilot from eve, who is going to pilot the vessel if you suceed. Your first task, would be to infiltrate and hack a space elevator, tht runs straight into the manurfacturing plant, once inside you would have to fight your way through the corridoors and warhouses, having to hack doors to move forwards on the mission, the end part would be finding and boarding the ship and escaping with your prize.
