It sometimes happens when the shots of my scrambler rifle slow down a bit, witch is really nasty when going up against a heavy proto suit, or a scout shotgun, but its never been so nasty as yesterday.
Had a good roll yesterday, then for my Last game, my gun starts to misfire and slows down to a crawl, like 1 shot every 2 seconds of frantically clicking my mouse button, it then even got to the point of firing shots, watching them connect to the opponent with no damage done at all or shots straight to the face with no hit marker, ofcourse no damage there either.
I then played another "last" game because i wanted a last good game and it again happened all over again.
since 1.5 ive noticed more of this slowdown on the new maps, like the one with the A inside the circular room, if people put down a few equipment items, the map breaks down my Scrambler.
I am eiter guessing, its the server pooping updates because its getting overloaded by equipment update requests or the Virtual DS3 overlay crapping out / or is it because of server region being somewhere else then Europe ?
Ive set region to Europe now and hopefully this fixes it.
Anyone else have had this slowdown happen ? Because ive never seen a post about it. |

Dust players are not intelligent enough to discuss things like this.
They will tell you it's working as intended even if they do not use a scrambler rifle well, or at all.
Kind of like KB/M, or HMG's. |

I play about 5 last games every night XD
I play the first do awesome.
I play the second more awesome.
I play the third for greed, and get raped. I got negative.
I play the fourth, I do pretty good but it doesn't make up for the ****.
For the fifth I notice it is late, so for my last last last game, I make sure to jump into a squad, go full protobear, become the raper and not the rapee, and I turn off the system.

I played against you yesterday night. I had the feeling that you just play with me... Most of the time you just made a mess of my suit.. But few times I heard a hit but no reduction to shields or armour. And the situations was for your favor and you hardly leave nothing but charred clones behind you.

From what I have noticed, Rei, certain weapons in this game don't follow the same client-to-server hit-scan laws.
For example, the regular HMG versus the Burst. You can quite often see the burst hit your opponent, while several of the shots do not register. This isn't as bad as it used to be in the chromosome days, but it still happens.
This will also happen with sniper rifles, scrambler pistols, scrambler rifles, burst assault rifles.
You know what I've found is consistent among all of these cases? They all function with a single trigger tap. I wouldn't be surprised to learn it effects the TAC as well.
Just what I've noticed though. |

Yeah we played a couple of games against each other last night, and yeah like you said i was on multiple occasions quite sure i hit, i really didnt have the time to remember the name of who i hit but it just went "Plink" and nothing happened, then my face got melted. I had no connection issues, because i checked on my pc.
Its very few and far between when i actually miss my target and when i do its entirely my fault, but yesterday really took the cake with the scrambler completely falling appart..I went like 11/9 and 6/8.
Hopefully some other Scrambler users have had this happen ?
Btw Beercase, did you have any slowdown on those last 2 games where you guys just folded and packed me in a beer crate to ship me off planet ?

Could be something with the gun mechanics as you say, its been a while since ive tried any of the other guns so i cant really comment on them.

I had some connection issues and we lost comms now and then. But I dont really remember the few last games... I hope my sp is still safe.

i am also scr user and have noticed more hitdetection problems in at least the last week. feels not as bad as it used to before the hitdetection update but its also no pleasure to play this game with no correct hitdetection. I do get the marker that shields or armor got hit, but no dmdage has been done.
At times it takes around 1 second till the qctual damage kicks in, so I saw alot of players dying around 1 sec after I stopped shooting at them.
the whole hitdetection problem seems kind of lag related. I do see alot of players doing mini-lag-teleports, especially on ranges >50m.
I know this problem with slow shooting scr aswell, seems to be a random bug, I also do have a bug where I cant charge my scr or where I cant let the charged shot go from times to times, it does feel like the trigger is stuck then lol.

Yes indeed, issues like this keep me from being dedicated to the use of the Scrambler Rifle. The Pistol version works perfectly fine though. I have killed a fair bit of people out to 50+ meters.

I hate that one. I reload it very often, but if I forget and it starts doing that the short 'wtf' moment I have often ends up killing me.
I also often get hit detection lag and glitches with my SCR. I've often emptied shots into people to have the shields flash blue and do no damage.
With a low frame rate the rate of fire of the SCR seems to slow down as well.

I haven't experienced those issues, but I've had something else happen a couple of times: I tap the trigger to let off one shot, but the rifle just starts charging instead. Tapping the trigger again won't cancel it, I have to change to my sidearm to stop it. |

Yeah also got that one. However i still love the scr and going 37/5 in pubs with the advanced one IF hitdetection works :D

Yeah so, i played again tonight, came out against KingBabars team and the gun failed once more starting to shoot slow, unsteady rate of fire, like speeding up then slowing down to speed up again, it totally messes up the recoil you are expecting.
(Explosions galore....so i think it has to do with explosions messing up the SCR)
Not that it has allot of recoil, but you expect a certain amount of it, not have it come and go in sprints.
I was absoulutlly unable to hit a target that moved, i swapped to the Assault version and everything was fine and dandy, the gun had a solid Rate of Fire and hit stuff repeadedly dead on until it died.
Ill try 576p tommorow, cuzz i am done for today but CCP, could you glaze over this issue ? With the Cup inc i dont want to have to resort to the Assault Squirt Scrambler when i have better game normally with my Imperial.
