You know when you die, it'll tell you if a medic is nearby, and it will show you how many meters away they are!?
When that number is getting smaller, that means they are risking their lives to run to you! STAY THERE AND DON'T RESPAWN IN 5 SECONDS!!!!!!!!!
Nothing worse than trying to keep the clone count in check when a stupid noob is so eager to respawn and get a worthless revenge kill...

Yeah, no thanks. I just died for a reason. Don't run out there needle blazing and get both of us killed and/or me killed again (also not good for clone count). Also, which sounds better to you -
Respawning with full health and ammo in a safe place
or
Repawning in a warzone with partial health and partial/no ammo.
Yeeeeeeah, I'd pick the first one too.
I only wait for the needle if I am with my corpmates and I know they have a proto needle and know how to clear out a threat before they pick me up. Randoms get no WP. Also, you shouldn't be rushing around to get needle WPs anyways. Get your gun out instead. It's a little more helpful to the team. |

"winning" isnt particularly helpful. What does it get you in the long run, other than a little ego boost? Well, okay, I guess if they have a ranking competition on. But even then...
For Ambush, clone count is crucial. needle used in a non-firefight situation, is one less clone thrown away. In all others, clone count is still strategic since you can win by clone attrition. Also, in all others, WP is ALSO strategic, since it helps towards orbital strike, and you get *more WP* from needle, than kills.
Plus, if the guy running towards you is a logi, you'll get your full health back in a couple seconds, and you wont have to waste time running to your location agian. |

I think you are missing my point entirely. I don't care if the guy who revives me does heal me up with a rep tool. That is even more time spent without a gun in their hands. I know "winning" isn't particular helpful. You know what else in not particularly helpful? Getting 1 shotted after waiting for a revive when you could have just respawned and got back to the battle. Or how about running around with low ammo and low health while some blueberry tries to get a lock on with his rep tool? Yeah, I'll take the respawn anyday.
And the orbital thing is no excuse. You can get just as many war points from uplinks/triage nanohives/whatever and keep your gun in the game. There is absolutely NO strategy in running out into a blaze of bullets to revive someone. Sorry. I would rather have you watch my back with a gun so I don't die in the first place.

I should add this is my opinion from time spent playing logi. I quit carrying the needle altogether for awhile because those needle WP are too damn tempting sometimes. Now, a proto needle is a different story. 80% health on revive is nothing to sneeze at. But I can't even count how many times I've killed a guy right after he was revived and the logi because the logi lacked situational awareness. Learn when and when not to revive people and more people may just wait on that needle. |

Coulde days ago I played an Ambush game, My squad went 70+/8 between the 4 of us... We got kills for days, but do you know why we still lost... by a landslide???
Here's some FPS 101 Logic, that shows a good player from a scrub. Its not about getting kills that helps your team; its about not dying. Its not the team that gets the most kills wins, its the team that gets the fewest deaths. Think about it...

If only reviving didn't count as death on the killboard... In other games your death is not counted till you actually bleed-out/die, don't know why Dust does it differently. Many more people who care about their score would then rather wait to be revived, instead of hurrying to respawn to get more kills.

Would atleast slow down the idiots and the pro players (who clean up an area before reviving) lose nothing. |

They count as deaths for individual K/D both for the killer and the killee. Not that your K/D ratio matters, but you also get full WP for the kill regardless of how much (or more often little) health your target comes back with.
Not all revives are bad but in pub matches, most are. |
