Ive noticed this too. It seems to ping out a signal and return the results almost like a sonar but Im not sure how far mine goes currently. Gallente scout three with range amplification 4 and a basic range amplfier for the extension of range.

I like the suggested fix for the scr's here. It'd be refreshing change from running away to trying to get in close vs them. Paper thin armor vs scr at most ranges has me running unless i have the drop on you guys.
